Warwick and Napton Canal, Warwickshire

Historical Description

Warwick and Napton Canal, a canal in Warwickshire, running from a junction with the Warwick and Birmingham Canal at Budbrooke, near Warwick, east-by-southward, past Radford Semele and Long Itchington, to a junction with the Oxford Canal near Napton-on-the Hill. It was formed in 1794-99, is 14 miles 20 chains long, and falls 132½ feet, with twenty-five locks.
