Wixoe or Whixoe, a parish in Suffolk, 1 mile from Birdbrook station on the G.E.R., and 3¾ miles WSW of Clare. Post town, Halstead. Acreage, 562; population, 109. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ely; net value, £150 with residence. The church is plain, but has a Norman arch.
