Stourton, Staffordshire
Historical Description
Stourton, a hamlet in Kinver parish, Staffordshire, 3 miles W by N of Stourbridge. It has a post office under Stourbridge; money order and telegraph office, Kinver. Stourton Castle was the birthplace of Cardinal Pole, and was taken in 1644 by the Parliamentarians. The present mansion is modern, but embodies a small portion of the old house.
