Horseley, Staffordshire

Historical Description

Horseley, a township in Eccleshall parish, Staffordshire, 1½ mile SW of Eccleshall. It includes the hamlets of Gar-melow and Cotmere, and contains a lake of about 40 acres, well stocked with fish. Walton Hall, Horseley Hall, and Johnson Hall, are chief residences.
