Danesborough, Somerset

Historical Description

Danesborough, an ancient British camp on one of the Quantock Hills, 2 miles W of Nether Stowey, in Somerset. It has double ramparts, is situated 1022 feet above sea-level,. and was the place where the Romans defeated the Belgse.
