Castle, Somerset
Historical Description
Castle, a hamlet adjacent to the river Brue, in Wookey parish, 3½ miles NNE of Glastonbury, in Somersetshire. It has an eminence adjoining it, called Castle Hill, which was the site of an ancient stronghold.
