Historical Description

Babington, a parish in Somerset, 1 mile from Molls station on the G.W.R., and 5 miles WNW of Frome. Post town, Bath. Acreage, 606; population, 199. Babington House is the seat of the Knatchbull family. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells; net value, £156. Patron, Lord Hylton. The church is good, and there are three alms-houses for women.
