The Tern, Shropshire

Historical Description

Tern, The, a river of Salop, rising near the meeting-point with Cheshire and Staffordshire, and running about 30 miles south-south-westward, past Market Drayton, Stoke-upon-Tern, Sleap, and Longdon, to the Severn at Atcham. Its chief affluent is the Roden.
