Edgton, Shropshire
Historical Description
Edgton, a village and a parish in Salop, near the river Onny, 2 miles SW of Hordeley station on the Bishops-Castle railway, and 4¼ miles SE of Bishops-Castle. Post town,. Aston-on-Clun. Acreage, 1683; population, 185. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Hereford; gross value, £114 with residence. The church is a small ancient building, and contains several monuments.
