Historical Description

Sookholme, a village and a township in Warsop parish, Notts, 4 miles NE of Mansfield, and three-quarters of a mile from Shirebrook station on the M.R. Post town, Mansfield; money order and telegraph office, Warsop. Acreage, 991; population, 43. There is a small ancient Norman chapel.
