Historical Description
Horsley, a township in Ovingham parish, Northumberland, near the Roman wall and the river Tyne, 2½ miles NW of Wylam station on the N.E.R. It has a post and money order office under Wylam (R.S.O.); telegraph office, Wylam.. Acreage, 1531; population, 383. There are Congregational and Wesleyan chapels.
