Weston Longville, Norfolk

Historical Description

Weston Longville, a parish in Norfolk, 2 miles from Lenwade station on the Midland and Great Northern Joint railway, and 8 miles E by N of Dereham. Post town, Attlebridge, under Norwich; money order and telegraph office, Lenwade. Acreage, 2777; population, 389. There is a parish council of seven members and a chairman. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; gross value, £600 with residence. Patron, New College, Oxford. The church is Late Decorated and Later English, and the chancel was restored in 1880. There is a Free Methodist chapel.
