Stibbard, Norfolk

Historical Description

Stibbard, a parish in Norfolk, 2 miles ENE of Ryburgh station on the Dereham and Wells section of the G.E.R.,and 4¼ SE of Fakenham. It has a post office under Dereham; money order office, Guist; telegraph office, Great Ryburgh. Acreage, 1651; population, 436. Sennowe Hall is a good. country mansion, standing in a park: of about 300 acres, through which flows the river Wensnm. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £484 with residence. The church is an ancient edifice of stone in the Decorated style.
