Hapton, a village and a parish in Norfolk, adjacent to the G.E.R., 1 mile SW from Flordon station, and 3 miles NW from Long Stratton. Post town and money order office. Long Stratton; telegraph office, Flordon station. Acreage, 700; population, 171. The manor belongs to the Baroness Berners. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich; gross yearly value, £125 with residence. Patron, Christ's College, Cambridge. The church is ancient but good, and has a tower. There is an endowed Presbyterian chapel.
