Hanworth, a village and a parish in North Erpingham,. Norfolk, on the river Bure, 4½ miles NNE from Alysham, and 3½ W from Gunton station on the G.E.R. There is a post,. money order, and telegraph office under Norwich. Acreage, 1352; population of the civil parish, 211; of the ecclesiastical, with Gunton, 269. The manor belongs to Lord Suffield, R.C.B. Hanworth Hall is a modern brick mansion, amid fine grounds. The living is a vicarage, annexed to the rectory of Gunton, in the diocese of Norwich; joint net yearly value, £155 with residence, in the gift of Lord Suffield.
