Historical Description
Toynton St Peter, a parish, with a village, in Lincolnshire, 2 miles S by E of Spilsby statiomon the G.N.R. Post town, Spilsby. Acreage, 1608; population of the civil parish, 262; of the ecclesiastical, with Toynton All Saints, 606. The manor belongs to the Earl of Ancaster. The living is annexed to Toynton All Saints. The church, an ancient building of stone in the Gothic style, was restored in 1876. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
