Skitter, Lincolnshire

Historical Description

Skitter, a headland and a shoal on the Lincolnshire side of the Humber. The headland is at a bend of the Humber, 3¾ miles N by E of New Holland, and bears the name of Skitter Ness. The shoal goes half across the Humber, above and below the Ness, near the Hebbles floating light, is partly dry at low water, and is buoyed.
