Barkwith, East, a village and a parish in Lincolnshire, 3¼ miles NE of Wragby on the G.N.R. There is a post office under Lincoln, which is tho telegraph office; money order office, Hainton. Acreage, 1325; population, 323. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £317 with residence. Patrons, the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln. The church is good, and there are Wesleyan and Free Methodist chapels.
