Creeton with Counthorpe, a village, a township, and a parish in Lincolnshire, on the river Glen and the G.N.R., about 2 miles NNW from Little Bytham station, and 9 W from Bourne. Post town, Grantham; money order office, Little Bytham; telegraph office, Little Bytham station. For Counthorpe, money order office, Castle Bytham; telegraph station, Castle Bytham. Acreage of Creeton, 1049; population, 75; acreage of Counthorpe, 1155; population, 66. Counthorpe, which was formerly a hamlet in Castle Bytham parish, was annexed in 1860 to Creeton. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net yearly value, £142 with residence. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church, on a hill side, is a small building of stone in the Early English, Late Decorated, and Perpendicular styles.
