Welch Whittle, a township in Charnock Richard ecclesiastical parish, Standish parish, Lancashire, 3½ miles SW of Chorley, and 1½ mile from Coppul station on a section of the L. & N.W.R. Post town, Chorley; money order office, Euxton; telegraph office, Birkacre. Acreage, 596; population, 113. There are two small collieries.
