Stainton, Lancashire
Historical Description
Stainton, a part of Urswick parish, Lancashire, 2 miles SE of Dalton-in-Furness. A Roman settlement was here. There are a Congregational chapel erected in 1873, and a mission and working men's reading-room, opened in 1885.
