Entwistle, Lancashire

Historical Description

Entwistle, a township in Bolton-le-Moors parish, Lancashire, with a station on the Bolton and Blackburn railway, 6¼ miles N of Bolton. It has a post and money order office of the name of Entwistle Road (T.S.O.) under Rochdale; telegraph office, Rochdale. Acreage, 1668; population, 287. There are some calico printworks here.
