Historical Description

Kingsdown, a parish in Kent, 4 miles SSE of Sittingbourne station on the L.C. & D.R. Post town, Sittingbourne; money order and telegraph office, Lynsted. Acreage, 704; population, 77. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury; value, £200 with residence. The church was built in 1865, after designs by Pugin, is in the Early English style, and consists of nave and chancel, with a spire.
