Gilton, Kent

Historical Description

Gilton, a place in Ash-next-Sandwich parish,' Kent. A Saxon burial-ground was long ago discovered here, and weapons, ornaments, and other relics all of the pagan Saxon period, and possessing much interest, have been found in it.
