Bexley-Heath, a village and an ecclesiastical and civil parish formed out of the old parish of Bexley, Kent. The village stands 1½ mile NW of Bexley railway station, is modern, large, and increasing, and has a post office under Woolwich, a police station, a cemetery, a cottage hospital, a large public hall, three dissenting chapels, Constitutional, Liberal, Radical, and Social clubs. Population of the ecclesiastical parish, 6385. Christ Church is a building of Kentish ragstone in the Gothic style. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Canterbury; net value, £300 with residence.
