Arkley, Hertfordshire

Historical Description

Arkley, formerly known as Barnet Common, is a hamlet and chapelry of Barnet parish, Herts, 1 mile W of Bamet. It stands on high ground commanding pleasant views of the surrounding country, and contains many good villa residences. The Episcopal chapel here is a building of flint in the Early English style.
