Historical Description
Eyton, a village and a parish in Herefordshire, on the river Lugg, 2 miles NW of Leominster, which is the post town. Acreage, 1015; population, 113. Eyton Hall is the chief residence. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Hereford; gross value, £113. Patrons, the Governors of Lucton school. The church, originally Norman, was rebuilt in the 14th century, and was restored in 1853.
