Historical Description
Rowlands Castle, a hamlet in Havant parish, Hants, with a station on the L. & S.W.R., 63 miles from London, and 3 NNE of Havant. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Havant. Stansted College was erected by Charles Dixon, a London merchant, at a cost of £5000, and endowed with £20,000 as a residence for six decayed London merchants. There is a Congregational chapel.
