Liphook, Hampshire
Historical Description
Liphook, a village in Hants, 4 miles W by S of Hasle-mere. It has a station on the L. & S.W.R., 46 miles from London, and a post, money order, and telegraph office. In the stage-coach times it was a halting-place on the old road from London to Portsmouth. There is a public reading-room, with a library and a good assembly room.
