Historical Description
Warmley, an ecclesiastical parish in Siston and Bitton parishes, Gloucestershire, 5 miles E of Bristol. It has a station on the Bath and Bristol branch of the M.R., and a post, money order, and telegraph office under Bristol. It was constituted in 1851; population, 2170. Coal is mined. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; net value, £300 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Gloucester and Bristol. The church was built in 1850.

St. Barnabas (parish church)
The church of St. Barnabas, built in 1850, is an edifice of stone in the Early English style, consisting of chancel, nave of five bays, aisles, south porch and a western tower with spire, containing 6 bells: the east, west and two windows in the south aisle are stained: the organ was presented in 1885, as a memorial to the Rev. Thomas Henry Howard M.A. vicar 1860-85: there are sittings for 520 persons.
