The Stour, Gloucestershire

Historical Description

Stour, The, a river of Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, and Warwickshire, rising near Tadmarton in Oxfordshire, running westward to Burmington, at the boundary between Gloucestershire and Warwickshire, and proceeding chiefly along that boundary north-by-westward to the Avon, 1¼ mile SSW of Stratford. Its length of course is about 20 miles.
