Severn and Wye and Severn Bridge Railway, Gloucestershire

Historical Description

Severn and Wye and Severn Bridge Railway, a railway in the W of Gloucestershire, from Lidbrook on the river Wye to the Severn in the neighbourhood of Lydney, and thence northwards to the Severn Bridge, with branches in Dean Forest, and with a short canal and a harbour at Lydney. On the completion of the Severn Bridge in 1879, that undertaking was amalgamated with the Severn and Wye railway.
