Hazeleigh, Essex

Historical Description

Hazeleigh, a parish in Essex, 1½ mile SW from Maldon station on the G.E.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Maldon. Acreage, 992; population, 111. The manor-house, called the Hall, is now a farmhouse. The living is a rectory in the diocese of St Albans; net value, £19 6. The church is a primitive structure, chiefly of timber.
