BELCHALWELL, a small village about 7 miles N.N.W. from Blandford, and 4 S.E. from Sturminster Newton. The church possesses an antique Norman porch, and the living is a discharged rectory. The parish comprises 950 acres, and had in 1841 a population of 225.
