Tedburn St Mary, a parish, with a village and a hamlet, in Devonshire, 4 miles SSW of Crediton station on the L. & S.W.R. It has a post office under Exeter; money order office, Dunsford; telegraph office, Crediton. Acreage, 4527; population, 580. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter; net value, £225 with residence. The church is ancient, and has been well restored. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
