Lee Abbey, Devon
Historical Description
Lee Abbey, a seat on the N coast of Devonshire, 1½ mile W of Lynton. It stands adjacent to a magnificent small en-curvature of the coast called Lee Bay, and occupies the site of a splendid seat of the De Wchehalse family, who fled to England from Holland about the year 1570.
