Buckabank or Buckhow Bank, Cumberland

Historical Description

Buckabank or Buckhow-Bank, a village in Dalston parish, Cumberland, on the river Caldew, 1½ mile from Dalston station on the Carlisle and Maryport railway, and 5½ miles SW of Carlisle, which is the post town. It includes the hamlets of Unthank and Lingey Closehead.
