Harthill, Cheshire

Historical Description

Harthill, a village, a township, and a parish in Cheshire, 2 miles NE of Broxton station on the L. & N.W.R., and 6 N of Malpas. There is a post office under Chester; money order office, Tattenhall; telegraph office, Broxton. Acreage, 493; population, 95. Harthill Pool is a lake of about 4 acres. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chester; net value,, £190. The church was built in 1609, and was restored in 1863.
