Doddershall, Buckinghamshire
Historical Description
Doddershall, a hamlet in Quainton parish, Bucks, 6½ miles SW of Winslow. Doddershall Hall has been the seat of the Pigott family from the year 1503, contains much old carving and furniture; was the residence of Christobella, Lady Saye and Sele; and had long, on one of its windows, some verses written in honour of her, with a diamond, by Pope.
