St. Mary, Bradford Abbas, Dorset
Description
The parish church of St. Mary is an ancient edifice of stone, in the Perpendicular style, consisting of chancel, nave of four bays, aisles, south porch and an embattled western tower with pinnacles containing 6 bells: the roof was entirely restored in 1890 at a cost of £1,700, and in 1897 the organ was renovated and a clock presented by E.C. and A. Clayton esqrs. to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Victoria: in 1906 the tower and floor were restored: the north chantry was added in 1913 at a cost of £490: there are 300 sittings.

Church Records
The parish register of baptisms, marriages and burials begins in 1579. The original register books are now deposited with the Dorset Archives Service, but have been digitised by Ancestry.co.uk and made available on their site (subscription required).
