St. Michael, Edgcott, Buckinghamshire

Description

The parish church of St. Michael is an ancient edifice of stone, in the Decorated style, consisting of chancel, nave, vestry and an embattled western tower containing 3 bells: the south doorway is Perpendicular, and the font Decorated: some of the woodwork is of the 16th century: the vestry was added in 1875 by the Rev. M. W . Davies M.A. rector 1874-1905: there is a brass tablet bearing the names of the men of the parish who lost their lives in the Great War, 1914-18: there are 90 sittings.
