St. Michael and All Angels, Halton, Buckinghamshire

Description

The parish church of St. Michael and All Angels is a small building of stone, chiefly in the Early English style, consisting of sanctuary, clerestoried nave of five bays, aisles, south porch and an embattled western tower containing 4 bells; it was rebuilt in 1813, and was restored throughout in 1886-7. and again in 1914: on the north wall of the sanctuary is a brass with effigy to Henry Bradshaw, chief Baron of the Exchequer, ob. 27 July, 1553; and there is another to the Rev. Herbert Alfred Grantham, rector of Halton 1883-95: there are 130 sittings.
