St. Edwold, Stockwood, Dorset

Description

The parish church of St. Edwold, one of the smallest churches in England its dimensions being 30 feet long by 12 feet 8 inches wide, is a building of stone with a western turret containing one bell.

The parish register dates from the year 1813. The original register books are now deposited with the Dorset Archives Service, but have been digitised by Ancestry.co.uk and made available on their site (subscription required). For entries prior to 1813 see Yetminster.
