St. Michael, Owermoigne, Dorset

Description

The parish church of St. Michael, rebuilt in 1883, at the expense of the late Rev. John Robert Cree, is an edifice of stone in the Gothic style, and consists of chancel, nave, south porch and an ancient embattled western tower, containing 3 bells: in the chancel is a stained window: there are 140 sittings.

The parish register dates from the year 1569. The original register books are now deposited with the Dorset Archives Service, but have been digitised by Ancestry.co.uk and made available on their site (subscription required).
