St. Peter, Long Bredy, Dorset


The parish church of St. Peter is a building of stone in the Early English style, consisting of chancel, nave, transepts, south porch and a tower containing 4 bells; it was thoroughly restored in 1863, and has 250 sittings.

Church Records

The register dates regularly from the year 1649, but retains some leaves from 1628. The original register books are now deposited with the Dorset Archives Service, but have been digitised by and made available on their site (subscription required).
