St. Peter and St. Paul, Mappowder, Dorset
Description
The parish church of SS. Peter and Paul is a small edifice of stone, in the Perpendicular style, consisting of chancel, nave of three bays, south aisle, south porch, and a western tower, with pinnacles, containing 5 bells : there is a memorial to a boy Crusader: the church was restored in 1865, and has sittings for 120 persons.
Church Records
The register dates from the year 1653. The original register books are now deposited with the Dorset Archives Service, but have been digitised by Ancestry.co.uk and made available on their site (subscription required).
