The church of St. Peter is an ancient building of stone, in the Norman and Perpendicular styles, consisting of chancel, nave of two bays, north aisle, south porch and an embattled western tower containing 3 bells: there are monuments to the Greyhurst family (1730) and that of Greenaway (1815): the church affords 100 sittings.
