SS. Peter and Paul, Eastham, Worcestershire
Description
The church of SS. Peter and Paul is an edifice of Travertine stone, principally Norman, with insertions of the 14th and 15th centuries, and consisting of chancel, nave and an embattled western tower, with pinnacles, containing 4 bells: the south doorway is a beautiful example of Norman work: Nash, in his "History of Worcestershire," says, "From the mention of a Presbyter in the Domesday survey of this manor, here was a church in the Saxon Age:" the chancel was entirely restored In 1864, and the nave in 1889-90: the church affords 120 sittings.
