Lineage.-THOMAS ACTON, Esq., of Gatacre Park, 2nd son of Sir Edward Acton, 1st Bart. of Aldenham, by Sarah his wife, dau. of Richard Mytton, Esq., of Halston, m. Mabell, dau. of Clement Stonor, Esq. of London, and d. in 1677, leaving a son, CLEMENT, who d. in 1726, and was father of EDWARD, of Gatacre Park, who d. in 1767, and was grandfather of EDWARD-ACTON ACTON, Esq. of Gatacre Park, who m. 1804, Frances-Elizabeth, dau. of the late Rev. John Grove Spurgeon, Rector of Clopton, by Anne, his wife, dau. of William Farrer, Esq., of Cold Brayfield, Bucks, and dying 1822, left issue, a son, the present MAJOR ACTON, of Gatacre Park, and two daus., Frances-Amelia, m. 1854, to John-James Harris, Esq. of Hayne, Devon, and Emily-Jane.
