Fron Goch, Merionethshire

Historical Description

Fron Goch, an ecclesiastical parish in Llanfor, Llandderfe—— and Llanyeil parishes, Merionethshire, 2½ miles WNW of Bala, and 13 WSW of Corwen. It has a station on the Bala and Festiniog branch of the G.W.R., and a post office under Corwen; money order office, Bala; telegraph office, at the-railway station. It was constituted in 1859. Population— 599. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Sfc Asaph; net value, £91 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of S4-Asapb. There is a whisky distillery, and also a clay anA Fuller's earth work in the neighbourhood.
